Empowering Pancreatic Cancer Patients and Delivering Innovative Immunotherapies: 1440 Foundation

Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest types of tumors, and the number of diagnosed cases continues to rise each year. By the time most pancreatic cancer patients are diagnosed, their cancer is advanced and may have already spread. These patients need us to develop more effective therapies, but that’s only half the battle. We need both innovative, clinical research and a focus on getting the patient the best treatments. That requires improved collaboration between research partners and around the patient experience to provide coordinated, comprehensive care. PICI is partnering with 1440 Foundation to make it happen.

How It Works

1440 Foundation is focused on creating hope for people fighting pancreatic cancer. They support the development of new treatments and innovative options to help patients heal and thrive. The foundation is committed to new models of collaboration that improve the patient experience.

As part of that mission, the foundation is directly supporting PICI to use a unique combination of innovative science and unprecedented collaboration to identify promising new combination therapies for pancreatic cancer. But this partnership goes beyond funding.

One of the hardest parts of any patient’s cancer journey is figuring out which trials might be right for them and how to prioritize and access those promising options. As PICI leads pancreatic cancer clinical studies, 1440 Foundation, through the work of their Canopy Cancer Collective, will help ensure the patient journey includes study participation. By improving learning and sharing about cutting edge research and support, 1440 Foundation and PICI are helping more patients access the best treatment options for them. This partnership improves our ability to deliver the right therapy to the right patient at the right time.

Moving Forward

By working from both ends of the process, PICI and 1440 Foundation connect bench to bedside like never before, closing the loop on the research pipeline and ensuring scientific breakthroughs result in access to lifesaving therapies.
