Pittman is the co-founder and programmer who led the team that created MTV. He has been CEO of MTV Networks, AOL Networks, Six Flags Theme Parks, Century 21 Real Estate, Time Warner Enterprises and Clear Channel Outdoor, and was COO of America Online, Inc. and AOL Time Warner. Pittman was also a cofounder of Casa Dragones tequila and is host of the podcast “Math & Magic – Stories from the Frontiers of Marketing.” Pittman has been inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame, the Cable Hall of Fame and the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame and among other honors received a Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Award. He serves on the boards of the poverty-fighting Robin Hood Foundation, where he also served as Chairman; the Parker Institute for Cancer lmmunotherapy (PICI); and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He previously served on the board of the New York Public Theater, where he also served as Chairman, and the New York City Ballet.
