Bob Purcell Chief Communications Officer Communications Biography Bob Purcell is the Chief Communications Officer at the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy (PICI). As a member of the executive team, he leads communications, social media and branding for the organization. Bob joins PICI with more than 25 years of experience in corporate and product communications for biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and health technology companies. Prior to PICI, he was the Head of Communications and Events for Verily, an Alphabet company focused on transforming healthcare data through AI. Prior to Verily, Bob spent 14 years at Genentech/Roche, where he held several communications leadership positions across both the pharmaceutical and diagnostic divisions, most recently leading all external communications efforts for Genentech. He earned his bachelor’s degree in pre-professional studies and English from the University of Notre Dame.
