Shaobo Yang, PhD Parker Scholar Early Career Researcher Biography Parker Scholar Shaobo Yang, PhD, of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, is integrating synthetic biology, microbial engineering, and cancer immunology to develop programmable bacterial “living medicines” for solid tumors. His project will advance the Living Immune Modulating Engager (LIME) platform, using tumor-homing bacteria to connect cancer cells with T cells or natural killer cells directly within tumors. He will evaluate LIME in pancreatic cancer and investigate its ability to remodel the tumor immune microenvironment and enhance responses to RAS-targeted therapy.
