Medical Oncology Fellow, UCSF
2025 Parker Scholar

Biography

Lindsey Draper, MD, PhD, is a Medical Oncology Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco. She is also a Physician-Scientist Fellow with the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub–San Francisco and a 2025 Parker Scholar.

Dr. Draper earned her BS in Biology from Juniata College and completed a postbaccalaureate fellowship in the Laboratory of Steven A. Rosenberg at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). She received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and pursued postdoctoral research in the Laboratory of Christian Hinrichs at NCI. She completed her internal medicine residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Her prior research has focused on characterizing tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in HPV-associated cancers and identifying two high-avidity T-cell receptors specific to HPV oncoproteins. This work led to several clinical trials showing that TIL therapy can result in durable, complete responses in patients with metastatic cervical cancer and that engineered T cells can drive tumor regression in epithelial cancers without causing significant off-target toxicity.

Currently, Dr. Draper is leveraging advances in cell engineering platforms to develop more effective cell therapies for patients with solid tumors.
