Biospecimen Operations Principal

Research Operations

Michael Gricoski, MA, is currently the senior biospecimen specialist managing biospecimen logistics at PICI. Gricoski tracks the collection and shipment of research samples from institutions participating in clinical trials. He also provides support to internal departments by building automated solutions to monitor various aspects of ongoing clinical trials.

Gricoski was the first clinical research associate (CRA) at PICI. As the first CRA, some of his tasks included monitoring clinical sites to ensure protocol adherence, verifying data, developing internal processes and helping to foster the strong relationships that PICI has with their partnered organizations participating in clinical trials.

Gricoski has a master of arts in applied psychological research and over 12 years of experience in human subject research in the academic fields of psychology, ophthalmology, oncology and immunotherapy. Previously he worked as a clinical research coordinator working first hand with patients undergoing treatment for various cancers including pancreatic, lung, prostate, breast, ovarian, GI and kidney. Gricoski joined PICI to help increase the efficiencies of multi-site clinical trials, so that patients may have access to better therapies sooner rather than later.
