Susan Schultz, MBA Vice President, Business Operations Business Operations Biography In her role at PICI, Susan Schultz is responsible for the daily finance and administrative operations within PICI’s headquarters in San Francisco. Schultz partners with the leadership and administrative teams both at PICI and our six partner centers to advance PICI’s mission and goals. Prior to joining PICI, Schultz spent much of her professional life at the University of California, most recently as the Associate Dean of Administration & Finance in UC San Francisco’s School of Dentistry. Serving as chief administrative and financial officer in the school, Schultz oversaw an annual budget of $89 million including academic, research and clinical enterprises with more than 120,000 patient visits per year. Schultz directed diverse business units including finance, human resources, information technology services, project management, and marketing and communications. More globally, she has been a core member of many university-wide efforts from operational committees to the Chancellor-appointed Council on Campus Climate, Culture and Inclusion. Her contributions were recognized with the Chancellor’s Award for Exceptional University Management. Schultz is frequently asked to serve as a panelist and speaker in the areas of management, diversity and employee development. A skilled mediator and facilitator, Schultz’s passions are exemplified in her volunteer work. She serves on boards of organizations supporting education and exercise for cancer patients. Schultz holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from UC Santa Barbara and a master’s degree in Business Administration in Strategic Leadership from Dominican University. In her free time, she can be found attending youth sporting events with her husband, rooting for their children’s teams.
