Biography

Sultan Nawabi, MS, is a clinical trial manager with experience in oncology development in the areas of pharmaceuticals and devices. At PICI, Nawabi is the program manager for PICI0014 (MCGRAW): A Multicenter Phase 1b Randomized, Placebo-controlled, Blinded Study to Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability and Efficacy of Microbiome Study Intervention Administration in Combination with Anti-PD-1 Therapy in Adult Patients with Unresectable or Metastatic Melanoma. He joined PICI at the time of IND filing and successfully opened the study at several clinical sites quickly. He has worked collaboratively with Seres Therapeutics and MD Anderson Cancer Center on the project, including the fecal microbiota transplant stool donor protocol. Microbiome administration is a new, emerging area in oncology and has required strong project management skills and innovative approaches. Nawabi’s efforts on this project have helped to build new capabilities for the clinical operations team.

He received his master’s of science from San Jose State University, and bachelor of science degree in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
