Robin Kageyama, PhD Associate Director, Engineering Informatics Biography Robin Kageyama, PhD, is currently an associate director of engineering on the Informatics team at PICI. Kageyama works on the translational infrastructure to help support, develop and run bioinformatic analysis pipelines. Before working at PICI, Kageyama was trained in immunology as a part of the Biomedical Science graduate program at UCSF in the lab of Dr. Mark Ansel. There he worked on understanding the role of micro-RNAs in post transcriptional gene regulation of immune cells using high throughput NGS screens to identify micro-RNA gene binding targets. Prior to that, he worked at the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology under Dr. Shane Crotty where he studied the interactions of T and B cells during the vaccine response.
