Jennifer Ayran, MPH

Biography

Jennifer Ayran, MPH, currently serves as the Director, Culture and Programs. She leads the strategy, planning, development, implementation and administration of diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging initiatives at PICI. This role collaborates with HR and other internal partners to ensure a common message and accountability, and initiates community outreach, mentoring and training programs to foster a diverse and inclusive culture.

Ayran joined PICI in 2016, her previous role was the trial manager for two of PICI’s checkpoint inhibitor trials: the first clinical trial opened at PICI PICI0001 (MAHLER) and PICI’s first biomarker selected study PICI0025 (AMADEUS). Ayran’s attention to detail, ability to organize complex projects and bring cross functional teams together has supported the successful execution of both clinical trials and contributed to the building of PICI’s clinical development capabilities with the aim to bring immunotherapy to more cancer patients. Prior to joining PICI, Ayran was at the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of California, San Francisco where she led the Protocol Development and Regulatory Support Office.

Her background and training include an MPH from UCLA, and dual bachelor’s degrees in cell and molecular biology and Asian American studies from the University of Washington.
