Janelle Ibsen, MPH Director, Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance Clinical Development Biography Janelle Ibsen is the Director of Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance at PICI. Janelle ensures safety assessment for all investigational and marketed products included in PICI-sponsored clinical trials. In addition, she oversees vendors and their respective teams for outsourced pharmacovigilance processes, managing and refining safety database and processes, and ensuring compliance with PICI standards and processes. Prior to joining PICI, Ibsen was a senior manager in the Pharmacovigilance group at Clovis Oncology. At Clovis, she managed the safety related study start-up and maintenance activities such as the coordination of PV Agreements, Safety Data Exchange Agreements, Safety Management Plans and ongoing oversight of case processing and SAE reconciliation activities. Ibsen’s past experience also includes working at Medivation, Pharmacyclics, Onyx and Genentech in multiple roles within Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance including safety manager, pharmacovigilance specialist, and drug safety associate. Her background and training include an MPH degree from A.T. Still University, College of Graduate Health Studies, a BA degree in business management economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and over 12 years of experience within Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
