Caroline Scatena, PhD Director, Project Management Clinical Development Biography Caroline Scatena, PhD, has close to 20 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience – initially as a pre-clinical research scientist and then as a project manager in 2009 upon joining MedImmune. While at MedImmune, she provided project management leadership to several oncology programs including the tremelimumab (anti-CTLA-4) and durvalumab (anti-PD-L1) programs, supporting the Translational Science teams. In addition, she supported the PD-L1 diagnostic team and was a member of the registration filing team for durvalumab. After MedImmune, she continued to lead cancer immunotherapy programs as Director of Project Management at small biotechnology companies within the San Francisco Bay Area. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in the Pietenpol laboratory. She received her PhD from the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
