Carisa White, MS Director, Human Resources Business Operations Biography Carisa White currently serves as director of human resources at PICI. She partners with senior leadership and the HR team to develop and implement HR policies, organizational, cultural and employee development programs and initiatives, and compensation and benefit planning. White directs core HR processes such as recruiting and onboarding, and consults with employees and managers to address employee relations issues with a consistent and empathetic approach. Prior to joining PICI, White was the director of human resources at Encore.org, where she led core hr processes, including recruiting and onboarding, compensation, and employee engagement and development. Previously, she was the hr manager at The Atlantic Philanthropies, where in addition to generalist duties, she provided critical transition and outplacement support to exiting staff and was centrally involved in helping senior management design and develop the tools, policies and processes required for the strategic workforce planning component of Atlantic’s limited life. White was also hr & administration manager at Trace Foundation. She began her career in social services, where she managed a residential treatment program for children in Sonoma County. She holds a master’s in human resources management and development from New York University and a bachelors in sociology from Sonoma State University.
